I used the Fedup tool to upgrade from Fedora 17 to Fedora 18.Ġ8:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. Should seamlessly move between network connections, preferring the wired over the wireless when the wired is active. Plug network cable into NIC while wireless is enabled Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): This is the first fedora release where I've seen this behavior, I've had Fedora 15-17 on this laptop and never had any problems. If I do the reverse and kill the radio via the keyboard killswitch, then switch to the wired, it also starts working. If I pull the plug on my wired connection, it will switch back to wireless and start working again. The wired connection works for about 7 mins, then all of my network connections start hanging. My laptop does not keep a stable network connection if my wireless card is enabled and I am simultaneously plugged into a wired connection.
